Kitmen Keung, Chinese-Canadian designer established his Hong Kong-based studio in 2014. He is a graduate of Milan’s Domus Academy, and produces limited pieces in quantity each season. Keung wants his designs to subtly alter the user's perception of time and context.
His first watch collection - Long Distance Watches combines two watch faces – one set to local time and the other, fainter face to that of a relative or loved one overseas. His work is poetic in nature contrasted by its minimalist aesthetic flair. His timepieces suited to both casual and formal wear, that can be worn on a daily basis.
"Long Distance" is perfect for lovers who are separated by distance, and the watch collection features to two analogue clock dials in the one case allowing the wearer to set two separate time zones. The main dial on the left is for the wearer and the secondary on the right for your long distance lover, friend or family. The secondary dial appearing dimmed as a shadow on the interface, a reminder of the distance between you and your mate on the other side of the globe.
Simplistic, classy and functional; this collection of analog watches is clean and minimal so much so that it is for everyone to wear, and makes a perfect gift for others or for yourself.
